Our Mission

About Our Mission

At Gullah Traveling Theater, Inc. (GTTI), our mission extends beyond entertaining and educating large crowds. We are also dedicated to using Gullah legacy stories to create a lasting legacy for future generations. These are stories of resilience and hope, integrity and justice, strength and victory—despite the circumstances faced by people of African descent.

Ways You Can Support the Gullah Traveling Theater, Inc.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designated by the Internal Revenue Service, financial support is essential to our mission. Your contributions, which are U.S. tax-deductible are paramount to keeping the Gullah history and legacy alive for the next generation. While there are many ways to help, your gifts are especially valuable to GTTI’s future.

Entertainment Is Not All We Do!

We are excited to soon launch a Second Chance workforce development program for youth and young adults. This initiative provides theater arts training to participants aged 18-25, empowering them with the tools they need to build a successful future. This program is designed for those who are drawn to or willing to explore theater arts as a pathway to personal and professional growth.
